Biochip Calibrator & Control Operative (Job Ref: 18/BCOP)



Randox Laboratories is currently looking to hire a hardworking and focused individual with excellent attention to detail to join a new team in the position Operative. The newly created department will have a focus within Biochip Array manufacturing for the formulation of Biochip Calibrator and Control material.




Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Accurate formulation of products in line with Bill of Material and Formulation Work Instructions, and completion of batch specific records

  • Completion of scientific calculation and checking of formulation records

  • Operation and maintenance of various departmental equipment

  • Semi-automated dispense and freeze dry of products

  • Loading and unloading freeze dryers

  • Assisting in validation of manufacturing processes and equipment

  • Maintenance of raw material stock control system



The Candidate:

  • Educated to, at least, GCE/A Level in a Science subject or possess relevant experience within a production/manufacturing environment

  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).

  • Excellent organisation skills with an eye for detail and the ability to prioritise

  • Computer literate.

  • Knowledge of Quality systems would be beneficial
