We require highly motivated and dedicated individuals to work within our busy Formulation Department as a Liquid Formulation Technologist.  The successful applicant will be responsible for the formulation of Randox liquid buffers/reagents in accordance with order and product specifications.


Bulk Liquid Trainee Technologist (Job Ref: 19/TTBL)


Key Tasks and Responsibilities


  • The adherence to formulation protocols covering the manufacture of the full range of Randox liquid products in accordance with the departmental ISO framework.

  • The filtration of liquid diagnostic reagents and buffers.

  • The accurate completion of formulation records for every batch of component manufactured.

  • The operation and routine maintenance of various types of departmental equipment and analytical instrumentation.

  • The accurate use and maintenance of the Tetra (Sage) stock control system.

  • The alerting of the Liquid Formulation Supervisor to any problems in the manufacture of a product.

  • Assisting in the training of staff in departmental procedures and systems.

  • Adherence to company Positive Work Environmental Policies, health & safety procedures, and the maintenance of a safe working environment.


Qualifications and experience



  • GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English language (Grades A-C).

  • Relevant experience in a manufacturing or laboratory environment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent organisational skills with an eye for details and the ability to prioritise.

  • Ability to reliably operate different types of equipment and analytical instrumentation.



  • Working knowledge of quality systems.

  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety including CoSHH.

  • Experience using a stock control system such as Sage would be advantageous.
