Engineering Stores Person (Job Ref: 19/ENSP)


Randox Laboratories currently wishes to recruit an organised and highly motivated individual to join a growing team in the position of Engineering Stores Person.


 


The Role:


 



  • Loading & unloading consignments of goods

  • Checking, inspecting, quarantining & documentation of incoming supplies including receipt of goods onto computer system

  • Storage of goods in the designated storage areas

  • Maintaining records of all deliveries

  • Checking delivery notes, despatch notes and other relevant documentation for accuracy

  • Operation of stock assessment & control

  • Releasing goods (internal & external) from stores and their delivery to various departmental locations

  • Storage of departmental archive files

  • Issuing of stock to manufacturing, service and R&D departments


 


The Candidate:


 


Essential


 



  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently & as part of a multi-disciplined engineering team

  • Ability to identify and implement improvements effectively

  • Good verbal/written communication skills for effective counting & reporting of key information relating to stores

  • Physically fit, capable of working accurately and efficiently under pressure

  • Able to plan and organise work schedules and priorities

  • Team player, capable of working effectively with other departments

  • Must not be colour blind

  • Clean driving licence


 


Desirable



  • Fork Truck Licence

  • Experience of using Computerised Stock Control software / Sage

  • Experience in safe manual handling practices

  • Experience of stores operations within an engineering/manufacturing environment
