Placement - Software Development - (Job Ref: 19/PLME)

Randox is currently welcoming applications for placement opportunities within the software team.

The role will involve creating original and interactive concepts for websites and taking these concepts from initial design to final completion. You will work closely with dedicated marketing and design teams and specialists with scientific and technical expertise to ensure the smooth delivery of all web projects.

We would like potential candidates to have web development experience, either commercial or non-commercial (e.g. education) and be able to demonstrate their ability through examples of previous work.


Tasks & Duties during Placement:

  • Participate in the development of software applications in line with approved specifications.

  • Ensure all development is in compliance with the ‘controlled software development’ procedure.

  • Ensure all development is in compliance with the ‘controlled software maintenance’ procedure.

  • Provide maintenance and support as required.

  • Work closely with designers, IT operations and staff to ensure software is development in line with best practice and customer requirements.

  • Produce detailed documentation for all development work including flowcharts, layouts, code comments etc.

  • Troubleshoot issues with existing software systems when reported.

  • Ensure all software is tested in a controlled situation.

  • Preparation of training manuals for users.

  • Ensure compliance with the software change management procedure.

  • Ensure all documentation is accurate and fully compliant for all developed software.
