Randox Laboratories are seeking Temporary Engineering Operatives to help with the build of Diagnostic equipment to be used for COVID-19 testing. These temporary positions will be based at the Randox Science Park in Antrim Town.


The Role:


• Follow established manufacturing procedures and processes in team and solo work
• Build mechanical, electrical and electromechanical assemblies to instructions in team and solo work
• Use quality control equipment to confirm assemblies are acceptable to requirements
• Maintain a clean, organised and productive manufacturing environment
• Report and trouble-shoot technical problems that arise in the manufacturing process.
• Identify and implement ways of continuously improving manufacturing efficiency.
• Work closely with floor management to maximize quality of output and minimize cost and waste.


The Candidate:


Essential Criteria:


• Enrolled or Qualified in Degree/HND in Mechanical/Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering or relevant Engineering discipline or minimum 5 years mechanical/electrical fitting/assembly experience


 


• Have a hands-on approach and practical engineering skills


 


Desirable Criteria:


• Have experience with CAD systems / 3-D solid modelling.
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience of manufacturing electromechanical assemblies.
• Experience of Six Sigma, the 5 S’s approach to manufacturing, General “Good Manufacturing Practice” protocols and T.P.M.


We can consider candidates who are in the final year of their Engineering related degree or those who already hold an Engineering qualification. We are also interested in hearing from experienced engineers.
