Temporary Scientists – Real-time PCR (20N/PCR1)

As Randox ramps up its COVID-19 testing capacity to help beat this disease we are still in need of Scientists with exposure to Real-time PCR and DNA extraction techniques. If this is you then apply now.

We need candidates who can commit to working 35+ hours per week and who have the flexibility to work a shift pattern after training is completed. Please confirm this on your covering letter or CV.

These roles will be based at the Randox Science Park in Antrim Town. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have completed and Molecular related degree, Masters, PhD students or those who have already completed their PhD. Please DO NOT apply for this role if you have already applied for another temporary role with Randox recently. We will already be aware of you details.


• Qualified to at least degree standard with a 2:1 grade of above in any of the below:
 Biomedical Science and Diploma in Professional Practice, Biochemistry, or a Life Science.
• Exposure to Molecular techniques including RNA / DNA extraction and Real-time PCR
• Excellent Pipetting skills
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Flexibility to work a shift pattern
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent time management
• Ability to learn and retain information quickly.
• Ability to interpret and analyse data

Desired Skills:

• Working knowledge of quality systems.
• Working knowledge of Health & Safety including CoSHH.
